FRANCISCO ARAYA
Chef Instructor, Cuisine & Course Manager

Francisco was born in Honduras, studied culinary arts at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts and obtained the Wine and Spirits Education Trustee Higher Certificate from Dubrulle Culinary & Hotel Institute in Vancouver, Canada. He also completed courses in vocational education, and leadership of educational institutions. Last year he achieved the Leadership Diploma from Universidad AdolfIbanez, one of the leading Business Administration schools of South America.

During his career he has worked in Canada, England and Chile. In Chile, Francisco has opened three fine dining restaurants with ultimate responsibility from design to operations, winning great reviews from customers and the media.

For the past 4 years he has been a culinary instructor at IP Duoc UC, teaching cooking and management courses. In his last two years he was appointed Director of the Culinary Arts program at IP Duoc UC Valparaiso with responsibility for over 750 students and leading a team of 40 teachers. As Director he secured the highest certification from the Chilean government for the Culinary Arts Program.

JYOTIKA MALIK
Chef Instructor, Cuisine & Patisserie


Jyotika is a graduate of the acclaimed culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu, London where she obtained a Grand Diploma in both Cuisine and Patisserie.

Her early experiences include working for Marco Pierre White at his Michelin star restaurant Mirabelle, and at The Dorchester Hotel in London in the patisserie division.
 
Wanting to be part of the evolving Indian palate she returned to her home country India and joined the Taj Group of Hotels at their flagship property The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, working at the premier fine dining restaurant "The Zodiac Grill" as a sous chef.
 
She moved to Switzerland and worked as an independent food consultant to various hotels and gourmet stores as well as conducting cooking classes. Her extensive food based travels across the world furthered her knowledge of food and the desire to learn even more. She then started her own company "the Rolling Pin" ; the creation of someone who loves to eat and share the feeling of happiness that comes from good food.
 
In Dubai, Jyotika has been very busy with various consulting projects as well as running her own catering business.
